Merry Christmas Mom... now you're a blogger!

Tuesday, December 16, 2014

My daughter created this blog for me for Christmas.  She said I needed a platform to share all of my great ideas... from gardening, to homemaking, cooking and entertaining.  So much of what I do centers around my garden.  I spent a great deal of time outside, and enjoy every minute.  It's hard work, but I consider the yard as an extension of my home, my entertaining space, and my ministry.

I didn't start gardening seriously until about 15 years ago.  I have a modest size yard in the middle of town, but knew that the blank slate I was starting from could only improve our home, and provide me with a new hobby.  I never knew this hobby would turn into one of the greatest joys I have ever known.

My goal is to encourage young women (and those of us who are more seasoned!) to find the joy that gardening provides, even if you only have a terrace to work with.  Gardening has given me a place to work, a place to pray, and place to gather with friends, and has provided wonderful additions to my table with beautiful arrangements. vegetables and herbs to nourish my family.

This blog will be a place for me to share my tips on gardening, while adding in tips I've found useful over the years, even some that don't relate to gardening.

Come with me as I garden in Green Country, in my little yard that has given me so much in return.
